Another ABA under our belts.
Hammer and I fished another ABA tournament today. 45 boats were signed up.
We finished 2nd, and Hammer nailed down the big fish of the day AGAIN for our 3rd big fish in a row, and our 4th this season. It was a 6.55lb LM. The guy is a very good stick. I hope some of it rubs off. I boated a few fish, but nothing special. -- Public Fishing Forums Fishing Link Index www.YumaBassMan.com webmaster at YumaBsssMan dot com |

Curious Bob, why do you call American Bass "ABA"? The reason I ask is
because the circuit ABA stands for American Bass Association, at least around here anyway. I followed the link from your website to the American Bass site, and nowhere can I find the second "A" in question lol. Please enlighten me my friend. Oh, and congrats on another outstanding tournament! That hammer dude is gonna dump you if you don't start catching lunker pretty soon... Warren ;-) "Bob La Londe" wrote in message ... Nah, atleast not until after the classic. besides of our four big fish I put him on two of them and caught one myself We have also done well in some other tournaments based on my prefishing. We are a good team. Next year he may decide he wants a better partner, but I have been debating wanting to fish more out of my own boat in all the tournaments for convenience reasons. I like fishig with Hammer, but its so nice to close the rod locker and be done at the end of the day fishing out of my own boat. -- Public Fishing Forums Fishing Link Index www.YumaBassMan.com webmaster at YumaBsssMan dot com Warren ;-) "Bob La Londe" wrote in message ... I don't know. Dave Willhide, the local region director calls it ABA all of
the time. Why don't you ask Dave. He doesn't visit this group, but he does have a personal board on the YumaBassMan forums where he answers questions. http://www.yumabassman.com/cgi-bin/y...?board=askdave -- Public Fishing Forums Fishing Link Index www.YumaBassMan.com webmaster at YumaBsssMan dot com "go-bassn" wrote in message ... Bob :
I've been looking at the American Bass Angler tournaments in my region (Lake Champlain, VT District 81) and I'm interested in fishing it this coming summer. One thing that's keeping me from deciding for sure right nwo though is that it seems as if you cannot choose your own partner. From what I understand from the tournament director for this region is, you show up, and non-boaters get paired by random draw with boaters. So, I would just like to ask you, how have you and your partner managed to consistently fish together ? Does your district have different rules ? I have a friend that I'd like to do the tournaments with. We both have boats, but there is no guarantee, it seems, that we'd be paired as partners if one of us came with his boat, and the other came without his boat. And I don't really want to go fishing with someone I don't know. Hope you can clear this up for me .... thanks ! By the way - congratulations ! Our bass fishing season doesn't open until the second Saturday in June in Vermont so no tournaments until then ! Shawn "Bob La Londe" wrote in message ...
