Posting a rod

Hi I'm after info on postage for a rod. How can I send a 2metre or 6ft
parcel to Northern Ireland for sensible money like under £25 - Parcel force
only take things upto 1.5 metres as do most other carriers at that price.
Any info much appreciated Thanks Roger

you can try this place http://www.parcels4delivery.com/index.htm I`ve used
them a fair bit with no problems. They collect from you and deliver at
reasonable rates.

I posted a rod from London to Lancaster about three months ago. I packed it in a cardboard tube and took it to the Post Office, they accepted it over the counter no problem. Postage came to just under £8. Length was about 5 feet plus an inch or two, so definitely more than 1.5 metres.
