I put down my chocolate lab Monday night. He was the best ****ing dog
who ever lived. Seven women have come into my life and six of them have gone in the last 12 years, but he stayed. What am I going to do? I WILL get a puppy. Life without a dog is pretty ****ty. But there'll never be another one like him. Ever. EllArr |

We are going through the 1 year old battles with ours, one day I love her, the next I hate her! Best of luck with the new one, JT |

My sympathies on that loss. We lost two dogs in the past year or so.
One was half black lab barely a year and a half old and full of energy who managed to get out of the yard and hit by a car in the dark of night. Then we lost our sweet Maggie, a 12-yr-old collie. Both losses were hard. Each kid was particularly attached to one or the other; and they kept the collars and tags for themselves. We now have two new guys who fill our hearts with joy & our house with hair. |

It was the same with our Maggie. She was old enough that she didn't
always climb the stairs at night. In the morning, I'd go down to the living room to rub her belly. She slept so soundly at her age, I joked that I was also checking to see if she was breathing. One morning, she wasn't. Simple, peaceful. She was the sweetest dog I've ever known. |

German Shepherd Canine, but he's a lovable maniac! Let me know about your plans. Op |
