CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- In what a North Carolina prosecutor calls an
"extremely bizarre" case, three men have been arrested on charges of
performing castrations on apparently willing participants in a
so-called "dungeon" in a rural house.

Sheriff's investigators say the men admitted performing at least eight
surgeries, including castrations and testicle replacements, on six
consenting clients over the past year. None of the three is licensed to
practice medicine.

The suspects are all residents of the house in Haywood County in
western North Carolina. They're being held on $150,000 bond each and
could make their first court appearances Monday.

The sheriff's office had investigated reports of sadomasochistic acts
at the house in 2004, but concluded there was nothing illegal going on
because the participants appeared to be willing adults.

Neuticles. I think the White House press corps needs some, except for
Helen Thomas.

obviously folks recently moved from or influenced by folks from florida
or a state north of the m/d line. local constabularies properly condone
eugenic practices among such genetic populations. or, perhaps they
might be in the forefront of neuticle science. but, as wayno's nearer,
and has experience in eastern tenn., i'll be referring all of my
castration cases to him...well, actual castration that is. reckon i'll
reluctantly continue the constructive castrations often inherent in my
line of work...

believe it or not, the story in the local papers indicated "neuticles"
were in fact located at the house. the story is a hoot...at least when
read from this side of the state. This one has got to be the lead on
MSNBC's "Hardball with Chris Matthews". g
