Sure Set hooks (experience #1)

For those of you who care about the sure set hooks that come on the new
Rapala DT Series crankbaits. I will definitely be removing the belly
hook and replacing them with Triple grips, but the I will leave the tail
hooks. I can safely say, when throwing cranks, I am always fishing
shallower than the crankbaits running depth, therefore bouncing along
the bottom. I was constantly catching zebra mussels, whereas in
previous years I still pulled mussels, but not at the frequency I was
pulling them this weekend.

I do like the concept of the hook, but I am a little worried about
damaging the tip on the hook while running those crankbaits through the
rocks. Triple grips are less prone to digging into the rocks than the
"SureSet" design. These of course are just my observations and first on
the water experience.
