OT Frustrated with Rats with Hooves

I live in a private community and I would swear the Deer know that there is
no hunting allowed. They flock here like they were giving out free feed.
Long story shorter, I had one run into the side of my car...again. Two years
ago I hit one, then another one, then last year my wife hits one and now
again this year. Anybody feel like taking a few hundred out with a bow feel
free to drop by...."I didn't see anything"

It's a frustrating situation. You know where I live, right in the heart of
Rhinelander, yet we have so many deer, I've almost hit them several times in
my driveway. They've become so brazen that I actually slapped one on top of
the head as it stood next to my front porch and chewed the shrubbery!

Metropolitan deer herds are a serious issue in many communities. It's
already been proven that "deer contreceptives" are expensive and don't work
anyway, trapping and re-locating is not cost effective (and many of the deer
return within days) and hiring sharpshooters, while effective, is also
expensive, using a town's budget when the money could be better spent
elsewhere. Many towns have opened up archery-only deer hunting within city
limits and have experienced some success with reducing the deer herd.

My suggestion is to start a petition in your town to enact an archery-only
deer season, then get a bow and start practicing. Venison is very heart
healthy, having little fat, low cholesterol and high protein. It's also
quite tasty, made even better by knowing the fact that the meat you're
eating was munching on the wife's roses just the day before!

Perhaps you should move to the heart of a big city Randy, no deer, no
trees, no grass, no Bill Dance bass ponds...get the point?

ever thought of getting a pet that is half dog and half wolf ?? I bet that
would keep the deer away if you just let one of those relieve himself on the
plants around the perimiter of your yard .
