Missed Hits On Horny Toad - Part Two
 

Well, I finally made it back by the same place for a shot at that evening
bite again. The frog rod did make it out of the rod locker, but I'm
afraid
the Horny Toad never made it to the water. I started nailing them left
and
right on a popper and never picked up the toad. I only missed two fish on
the popper two. One I clearly saw missed the bait and never came back for
a
second swipe at it. The other I just got excited and swung at the splash.
When I calmed down and jsut fished I nailed everyone that hit. Most were
dinks so they probably weren't able to get the toad in their mouth when I
was out there last weekend. My big fish of the evening though was
determined. She just plain missed it the first time, but I calmly gave it
another tiny twitch and she sucked it down. A nice four plus. After that
I
was so wired I called my next three fish before I made the cast. Woo
Hoo...

Oh, yeah. I did get one on a buzzbait bait, but I sawed that corner five
times before it hit. Most of my popper fish hit either after the splash
or
after one tiny twitch.
