......apparently has another instructor loose in DC.
Seems Patrick Kennedy(congressman from RI) plowed into a barrier near the
Capitol after weaving in the car prior. "No alcohol was involved" according
to his staff,
the Capitol Police seem to suspect otherwise, although I note the staff did
not rule out narcotics and the like, so he may have been prematurely
celebrating the Mexican decriminalization or something. Yet another of the
sycophants in the Kennedy clan terrorizing the highways, freaking great!

But were the police told to come back the next day?......and did they
comply?

Actually, not far off, if the stories are to be believed. Apparently,
the "beat cops" wanted to give him either a FST or a breath test, but
were prevented by their superiors. He was then taken home (or
somewhere) by some even higher up the ladder. Is that the facts and
nothing but the facts? I don't know, I wasn't there, but if he is
guilty of anything (and thus far, I've heard nothing to convince me he
is), I suspect he'll get as good a cover-up as he wishes, just as any
other similarly-situated well-connected person, regardless of their
political party.

although the leveller, in this day, is that he will be examined to excess by
the various "news" networks. To my original point, though, the Kennedy clan
have had a few exceptional breaks. Teddy,in one of the most forgiving
judicial venues ever, to my mind. Most well-connected types might have
difficulty completely getting past vehicular homicides.....or, maybe I am
over-optimistic(....Again!)

Sure. But even you have to admit it'll be pretty hard to top putting the cops
off long enough to sober up after shooting someone in the face...

You know this brings up something that has always fascinated me. I can
understand and respect someone thinking things out for themselves and
deciding on being a Dem, a liberal, anti-Bush, whatever, but what I
can't understand is a thinking person being any of the above AND a
supporter, fan, or otherwise thinking well of the Kennedy family in
general, and especially of those who have been in "public life." I can
think of nothing illegal, immoral, or otherwise "wrong" that anyone in
the Bush family has ever been merely accused of that at least one
Kennedy didn't actually do first and repeatedly. And really, I can't
understand a thinking person with even some information, regardless of
politics, who would be a supporter of the Kennedys.

See my other post, but here's an example of my point in it. There's no
real evidence of Cheney being drunk or even under the influence.
Moreover, the cops, the witnesses, and Whittington all said he wasn't (I
realize this does not mean absolutely that he wasn't), and if it were,
for example, you and Tom in the same situation, your word and the cops'
opinion would be enough. But even if he were so ****faced he had
trouble standing up, it still doesn't mean Whittington didn't do
something to contribute to being hit, and in any case, Cheney didn't
actually kill anyone. As Tom pointed out, the Kennedy clan can't make
that claim.

No evidence, but many ranches would frown upon the one beer he had at
lunch.

Well, there is Neil Bush. I don't know that a Kennedy ever had the
opportunity to do his deal first or since, but I can guarantee you that
Neil did it bigger!
