Spotted Sedge Nymph
 

Would any one here have a Spotted Sedge Nymph Pattern that they would not mind sharing. It seems that here in Southern Ontario the Spotted Sedge is a very long lasting fly. I have an emergent & dry pattern but not a true nymph pattern. I thank you in advance.

The Spotted Sedge is also called the Cinnamon Caddis so you could look for
patterns for that. It's also the species Hydropsyche.

Really, all you're talking about is a size 12-18 caseless caddis larva (a
normal scud/caddis hook, or the longer curved nymph hook, like a TMC200R)
with tan dubbing and a darker thorax (like dark brown). A few whisps of
mallard flank as a tail doesn't hurt. I've seen patterns using spiky fur
(like touch dubbed rabbit) and also smooth bodies like larva lace. Amber
larva lace with a dark brown thorax looks a lot like the larva I've sifted
from stream beds locally (ours are size 16-18).

In practice, you could use a gold ribbed hare's ear in tan/brown. A gold
bead couldn't hurt.
