Please Help! (How to Start Johnson Outboard Motor)

We are having problem starting 1987 40 HP Johnson outboard motor
(model J40ELCUD). We put in new spark plugs. Any help is greatly
appreciate it.

Check spark
Check fuel filter
Check that fuel is pumped
