Walleye flies

Probably 12 or more years ago I caught several walleyes on a Chamois
(sp?) leach pattern, weighted and colored with a pantone marker. All
you have to do is wrap lead on your hook, then chenele (sp?) and then
tie a strip of leather chamois over the top. I had cut the strip with
a swirl in it to give it action similar to a mister twister. It was
fished in a shallow bay off the Gunflint Trail in MN where we had
picked up a couple walleyes trolling. I don't think it would be my
first choice if I knew I had to have fish to eat, but it worked
suprisingly well, also worked on northern pike and big bluegills.

Good luck and good fishing!
