I fish this small river/creek off the chatahoochi river here in Atlanta. I
fish near log jams. Shrimp or chicken livers work good. I seem to catch
bigger ones on the shrimp. But turtles are some what of a problem. One day i
caught a little bream, cut his head off and put it on a hook. Caught a 15lb
channel out of this little river. I let it go and go back and catch it again
and again. on bream heads in the same spot. I havent caught it this summer
yet, hope he has grown some. Seems like early morning, or late in the
evening is the best time.Once the sun is out and pounding down they wont
bite at all. I'v tried shinners and dip baits they catch a fish here and
there but not as good as the other baits. I use a 3oz weight to keep it put
in the current, and about a 12" leader.

I usually use the body and not the head
