Night Fishing for Bass

I'm sure that many of the members here are old hands at night fishing for
bass. However, I'd be willing to bet that there's an equal number that have
never tried it. My good friend, Joe Haubenreich thought that some might
want to give it a try and wrote a piece that has been published on
OutdoorFrontiers.com.

Here's a link to the piece.

I used to do a lot of night fishing, especially for muskies. But now that I
guide more than I get a chance to fish, I don't hardly night fish at all.
Heck, most of my clients have a hard enough time fishing and getting around
in the boat at high noon!

One thing that amazed me was how many times those large muskie lures got
eaten by bass when night fishing!

That is a good article. I was surprised to learn that PowerPro is so visible
at night. That is a real plus for sensitivity of a night bite.
I took your advice Steve and pot PP on my crankbait rods too (8/30) and the
feel is so great that the rod tip just bounces, I swear you can about feel
the bite before you get bit !

LOL, it's good stuff, but I didn't know it was that good! All I know is
that with the increased feel and better hooksets, I know I get hooks into
more fish than I would with other lines.

Sometimes I get some nice fish during the day, but the biggest ones always
seem to come out at night.

I think he was referring to the Brawny Man-looking fellow with the Titans
Tee-shirt holding the hybrid striper.

Fishing at night can indeed be very productive. I've fished at night a
number of times but absolutely hated it, primarily because I
consistantly got feasted on by insects no mater what, and wouldn't even
consider doing it any more. You guys can have it!!
