Bass fishing off a Hobie Cat

It don't work! grin

I love to go out on my brothers little hobie Cat...he use to race them,
and is really good at it. He is trying to teach me the finer points of
sailing, and last year he finally authorized me for "soloing" :).

Today the wind was just right, and I decided to take the little Cat out
for a couple hours. Now I like to bass fish as much as sail, so I rigged
up my pole with a "tether" line, so as not to lose it completely! Stuck
several favorite soft plastics in my pocket, and one extra hook. Sailed
out to a spot I like to fish. No anchor, no trolling motor, and trying
to keep from "hooking" the sail, I cast toward some cover...missed by 20
feet! A couple more tries as the boat spun around a couple times...then
decided that the little Hobie Cat was definately not a fishing platform!

Had a great couple hours on the water...and kept the Cat upright! A good
day, even if the fishing thing was a bust :).

No, but I love your attitude and attempt. After fishing off a bass boat I
have a hard time fishing off anything else now.
