Shortening the fight

For fishing the tribs here, I find that the size net I need to carry is a
little unwieldy, so I've taken to using the Boga Grip and a retractor made
to support it. I find it really shortens the fight. All I need to do is
get the fish close enough to get the grip in his mouth. I don't lift the
fish, but just use it to maintain control in the water.

My experience is this really cuts down the fight. Anyone else try this?

Having been given one for a birthday, I have quit carrying a net on the
streams or the lakes. I agree with you. It also facilitates getting the hook
out of deeply hooked fish by giving you more control.
