thought of you when I came upon this passage in Larry McMurtry"s "Paradise"
Larry is talking to a young French woman and relates--
"We continue, for the fun of it, our debate about older women and younger
men- or vice versa. I try out an aphorism from Lonesome Dove,
one of August McCrae's, delivered when he is trying to seduce his old
girlfriend Clara Allen: the older the fiddle, the sweeter the tune."
