Good one. Watch out for Hearst, too. Don't get caught in the crossfire.

I don't watch much TV, but I love that show. It's modern-day
Shakespeare. The appropriately named Swearengen is my favorite
character, but all of the major characters are crisply drawn. It's a
show that you have to pay attention to if you want to understand what's
going on.

John,
I fished Spearfish creek in the canyon upstream from the town of
Spearfish SD proper several times years ago and did pretty well on
decent Browns in the small ponds along the way run by the power company
and on small brookies in the stream in between the pool. There was also
a small creek that flowed into that stream that I didn't fish but it had
a great "flume" ride down a hundred feet or so of slick sandstone rocks
and you ended up going off a four foot waterfall into a pool. Mighty
refreshing on a Dakota summer day. IIRC it was called the Devil's
punchbowl or something by the local kids.

Just bring him canned peaches. Or a head in a box.

Agreed. Michelle and I only subscribe to HBO for Deadwood (never really got
into "The Sopranos", but "Oz" was great), which unfortunately means we'll be
cancelling out subscription after this final season. :-(
