river dropshotting

Does anyone here use a dropshot in current on river systems? or fish
along deep bridge pilings with sucess for smallmouth bass. I'm planning
on trying a small senko type bait along some river bridges.

I've used a dropshot setup for river walleyes, substituting leeches and
minnows for plastics, but it does work very well. You just need a little
heavier weight to offset the current.
