Please do not suggest Solar Bat.

I cannot find my favorite H2Optix anymore, not even on eBay! I lost my last
pair on Lake Barkley in April and since then I've been wearing a pair of
Solar Bats, but do not like them. Both rubbery nose pieces have now fallen
off and lost, as well as the little rubbery grip things on the sides that
were suppose to keep them from falling off of your head. Now they are
hurting my nose...

What are you wearing? And why? Or if anyone knows where I can find a new
pair of H2Optix *Captiva* sunglasses... let me know.

Thanks,
Charles

I wear Action Optics.

http://www.actionoptics.com/

I like them for several reasons, Made in USA, great customer
service, (I had bifocals installed after my cataract surgery
and they got them back to me within a week), but the main
reason is the quality of the lenses.

The last time I checked the best deal on really good optics was the Costa
Del Mar Wave Killers. Local tackle shops are selling them for around 160,
but Bass Pro has them for 89.00 to $139.00. I use the black frame w/
vermillion lens most of the time. They really do a good job on the water.
On those really bright absolutely blinding days I have a pair of those with
the blue mirror lens that seems to take off a little extra edge.

Charles,

I've been wearing Flying Fisherman Navigator sunglasses. They're
lightweight, comfortable, come with a lifetime warranty and they're only
$60! I dearly loved my Costas as most sunglasses give me a headache after a
while. The Costas didn't and neither do the Navigators. I believe that
this is due to the optical clarity.

Just to pass on, if your local flyshop deals Action Optics, but you need a
prescription pair, go in to the shop, try them on, and pick your frames.
When you place the order, let them know the shop you used. There's a deal
in place, or used to be, anyway, where such things get worked in to the
shops next order.
