Here is a report from the Billings Gazette.

http://www.billingsgazette.net/artic...5-outdoors.txt

In summary, the town of Lovell, WY feels it's been screwed by the
Bureau of Reclamation from the creation of Big Horn Lake.

The meeting in the article was held today and while I wasn't present, a
friend of mine was and many of the people of Lovell are demanding that
the Bureau of Reclamation shut off Yellowtail Dam immediately to allow
Big Horn lake to fill to capacity, thus killing off the Bighorn fishery
in Montana.

Anyone suggest running a big pipe over from the Mississippi River? Or the
Great Lakes, mebbe?

Water is in scarce supply in these years of drought out West.
It is a major economic issue now and will be even more so in the future.
One of the problems is that we have politicians that are selling off the
land, water and mineral rights to vested economic interests who have
absolutely no concern about environmental issues.
Our State Senator Conrad Burns, for one, would sell his mother for a dollar
or two.
It is not a coincidence that he pals around w another reprobate - the BIG
DICK - Cheney from Wyoming -
Who surely profits from fleecing US & our planet!

I heard Ted Stevens is hot on the idea.
