Bass Tech question

My livewell's running fine on manual mode, but not well at all on auto (on
cycle, off cycle). I assume the same pump powers both cycles (standard,
right?), so what's my problem? I'm thinking the man/aut switch is failing,
but any help would be appreciated...

This cr-p happens every time I'm headed to a big tourney...

Bass Tech question

Does it have a "flash" unit like the old turn signal flashers, mine does?
Sometimes they go out.

The livewell on my cat has three or four different pumps. Fill, Recirc,
Aerate Fresh, & Pump Out. Nice thing is they are carttridge pumps with
bullet connectors on the leads so in a pinch I can switch pumps quick. Also
two bilge pumps... both cartridge pumps too.

I'ld pop some covers and take a look down in the bilge if I was you.

It's probably the timer.

I don't understand how that is going to help with Warren's problem of
the manual working but timed not. That is in the switch, not the pump.

Bass Tech question

Rich is correct fellas, it's the livewell timer. I'm having one overnighted
from Gambler today. It's always something!

Bob your system sounds interesting, being able to switch pumpas/purposes
easily. Is that system unique to Bass Cat? Is it something I can wire in
my Gambler?

Thanks to all you guys!

It pretty simple actually. Some pumps have a replaceable cartridge in a
body. If the pump motor goes bad just pull it out an put in another one. I
guess you could use those pumps on any boat. Since my recirc and my aerate
both have timers I guess I could just swap them without even swapping wiring
if I had a timer go bad.
