This might sound stupid, but I'm not sure. How often do you guys pump
your fuel ball up on your outboards?

My new boat doesn't have a bulb, but on one of my old boats, I would give it
a pump every time I unloaded the boat. Usually the bulb was reasonably hard
and wouldn't take more than one or two for each outing.

If you have to pump and pump before the bulb is rigid, you might have an air
leak in either the fuel line or the bulb.

Yeah, I knew as I was typing it that someone was going there. At least I
don't need to be paddled to get where I'm going....... ;-p

When I have drained the outboard, or run it out of gas. Other than that, I
never have to.

I never do on the Bass Cat w/ Optimax. On the Carbed 50 on the Waco I have
to pump it each time I take it out, but its never completely soft.
