Drop Shot with a swivel?

I seriously twist my line while d-shotting.

Would a swivel above everything help?
Would it hurt the action when I shake the bait?

I try retrieving slowly but it still twists.

Yes it helps, all but eliminates it totally

Not with any baits I've used

I try retrieving slowly but it still twists.

The twist is coming from the way you have placed the hook through the
lure, a lot of it can be stopped by carefully aligning the lure on the
hook (with most lures)
