I've read his _On the Rez_ and _The Fish's Eye_, and both were very
well done. He's nearly as good as John McPhee, but a little more
autobiographical than biographical. I particularly recall from TFE
where he tells about eating a cricket to annoy the bridesmaids at a
wedding. He did a bit of an experiment where he tried to eat a bunch of
mayflies during a heavy hatch, since if they were good enough for the
trout, they were good enough for him. Insectivorous predilections
aside, pick him up on your next trip to the library.
