Dems might want to start hoping Ford loses...
I'm not sure who got Obama to go to Tennessee to stump for Ford, but if
the little crook wins, it'll come back to haunt Obama. I'd wonder if it might have been the opening salvo in the DNC/Clintonista sub rosa campaign to keep him under control. If he wants a political future, he better find a godfather fast. R |

Assuming Ford were the most honest person running, of either party, Obama isn't the right guy to send unless you're trying to hurt Obama and realize that Ford _probably_ stands no chance anyway. And guess who might fit that bill. Think about it - one of the bigger issues is race, so why would you send a promising, but untested, new starter, who is also black, into something that can only be bad for him? Seriously, R |

R As it worked out, it doesn't really matter, but I think the "he's black, so he's eery bit the hero that Obama might be" was pretty racist, and hopefully, no wind would have reached that sail. I'm not so sure that it doesn't matter. Another thing that should give cause for pause is that no matter who arranged it, Obama went. If he doesn't have better (natural) instincts than this, he's gonna be in DEEP trouble when the real tests come. I'm beginning to think he could wind up becoming the Democratic version of J. C. Watts (or Steve Largent), and just going private. TC, R |
