An estimate given today (I think it may have been in the ISG report) is the
USA will have spent two trillion dollars before the end of its involvement in
the Iraq misadventure.

Two Trillion Dollars.

More than has ever been spent on any one thing, ever.
Certainly a candidate for the worst ****up in recorded history.
