Sparse. I like to use yak hair instead of bucktail.

Go smaller on everything. ;-)

Heavy, size 4-6 short shank hook. Extra small bead chain, or dumbbell
eyes. I'd use finer natural hair, like yak, fox or calf tail. A
synthetic like Angel Hair, Craft Fur ect... will work too.

I tie 1" clousers for bluegill and smallmouth bass using rabbit fur and
small brass hourglass eyes.

I've been tying some on size 8 hooks for bluegills, and have caught
bass on them as well. I use bead chain eyes and fiber out of a duster
from the dollar store. Green and White or Green and Yellow. Sparse is
the key.
