TCM has been runnin' sci-fi all day, and I happened to stop by as the "Blob"
was on.

Did anyone else ever notice that Helen Crump--Andy Taylor's gal and,
apparently, my step-mom as of 1986--is Steve McQueen's love interest?

Oh HELL! What with global warming, the Blob! could return to gobble up he
world. Prophetically, Steve notes at the end of the movie that "as long as
the Arctic remains frozen," we are safe from the Blob!
