I haven't played it yet, but thinking I could afford a buck for a shot. I looked up the odds at 1:175,711,536. 12 states total participate, so if anyone from ROFF hits it, best not to advertise to start a ****ing contest. ;-) fwiw, -tom my personal view of these things is that I wouldn't consider betting at the racetrack on a 12,000,000-1 shot, even if it was an overlay, so I never get tempted to play lotteries. YMMV, of course, and so, good luck to you and all who do venture into the pool!! Tom Agree, I'll donate $1.oo for qty: 1 ticket, but won't put any more into it, and that's if the pot is over $300k. The odds in reality: We have a two mile long accelerator. Picture 3x5 cards stacked together, side by side along the two mile long accelerator, wrapping around and stacked along the opposite side of the accelerator as well. A total of 4-miles of stacked 3x5 cards. Now I'm getting into my car, driving along the accelerator and viewing all the cards stacked nice and neatly together. Somewhere along the accelerator, I stop the car and pull "one" 3x5 card from the pile at random. That would be the odds of winning the lotto. But that "one" card from the astronomical odds could be worth $370k. fwiw, -tom Woops, meant to write $370m,. We think too much in terms of thousands "k" here, $300k would just be a drop in the bucket and not worth my buck. fwiw, -tom |
