Just an invitation to what I'm working on with the Mid-Tenn Classic site...
anyone want to jump over there an take a peek?

http://www.midtennclassic.org

You can submit your own news for the front page... Make a journal, play with
the forums, and a bunch of other stuff. I know, a million and one fishing
sites now, but this one is just for the MTC/SC. I'm just getting everything
taken care of now for the 2008 year, if anyone is interested. Also, can host
the site for the Northwoods Classic from here too. Just change the banner
and do a redirect!

I'm also thinking about transferring the FAQ's over there too... unless
someone wants to volunteer to maintain http://www.rofb.net. I'm not here
enough sometimes to keep up with everything. Let me know if you can/will...
I'll set you up an FTP account to the site.

Thanks,
Charles

Why the heck would I need to register to look at the content? Are we
now some secret society that requires passwords and logins? Why do we
need another forum -- isn't this enough? Just what downloads do you
intend to offer? What happened to just a site with the facts, photos,
and fun stuff. Life is complicated enough and you create this dribble
-- count me out.

Good Fishing - Moe

Wow... talk about feedback! Still working out the bugs... or I can scrap
that whole damn thing altogether and say to hell with it. Yup... that's what
I think I'll do.

Good to hear from you, you grumpy old codger... ;-)

rofb.net is the "official" FAQ site for this newsgroup. We should keep it
going. The only thing I ever thought it needed was a better submission form
for prospective FAQs and a portal for the newsgroup. If its done with more
SSI (if the server supports it) an occassional facelift will be easier as
well.

How much maintenance does it need by the way? I thought it was a pretty
static site.

Your best defense of the site is to give up? Not like you Charles !!
Put the old site back up and revamp it if you feel it needs it. No
need to copy Steves site.

Never ask a question if you don't want to hear the anwser.

Give up? Haha... not me.

Really though, you think it clones Steve's?

LOL. If you remember I was one of those who volunteered to do it when Vern
dropped it. I've got 6 sites I maintain now. LOL. Let me think about it
for a day or three.
