If you buy a $60 reel and it's junk, so you have to replace it with an $80 reel, you've now spent $140 and you could have bought a great reel and had less hassle. I have enough information now to make a decision, there's no need to extent this thread any further. What cheek. It's not about you. You may have started a thread but you'd be surprised how often a thread takes a different and informative tack than that intended by the original post. It's all about the free exchange of unbiased but sometimes opinionated info. Thank you to everyone that offered information. The rofb guys are among the best on Usenet at that, in my not so humble opinion. And just to stick in my two hundredths of a dollar, always buy the best equipment you can afford but do your homework because the most expensive isn't necessarily the best. You are a funny guy Ken. I would welcome taking you fishing sometime, but I'm not sure I could be a nice all day on the water.
