... I've spent a bit of time trying to identify this lure with no luck so far. Please let me know if you wonderful folks have any idea what it might be or where I might find out. Many Thanks! Pete 1st, don't post binaries in non-bianry groups. Looks like an early model Lucky 13 or Bass-Oreno that has been re-painted. -- Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com |

So I don't make this mistake again, one is not supposed to post pics (or other "binaries") in a newsgroup that doesn't have binary in the name? Looks like an early model Lucky 13 or Bass-Oreno that has been re-painted. Thanks for the lead. This was a lure that was my grandfathers and then my fathers. If one of them painted it, I'd be surprised. -P |

So I don't make this mistake again, one is not supposed to post pics (or other "binaries") in a newsgroup that doesn't have binary in the name? That is correct. In fact some Usenet servers will strip them off the post, and some will not display the post. What most folks here do is post their picture in news:alt.binaries.picture.bass then tell people to look there. Due to the un reliability of that group for me on the server I use, that some servers don't carry the binary groups, and that some folks use web portals that don't carry the binary groups like google groups to read usenet I prefer to upload the image to an image hosting site (like www.imageshack.us or my own website) and then provide a link to it. -- Bob La Londe Fishing Arizona & The Colorado River Fishing Forums & Contests http://www.YumaBassMan.com -- Posted via a free Usenet account from http://www.teranews.com |
