I like the small to midsize cats myself. and sorry to hear about your boat. "Dr. D" "Bob" wrote in message ... Isn't anybody fishing the big cats out there? Lost all my fishing spots, sold my boat, and cry every day, but love to hear your stories. Bob - TX |

Yep! Small to midsize is good, but so are the big ones. I generally used
limb lines baited with good size brim (perch) and catch them up to 30 pounds. A lot has to do with the cleaning. I always cut the juggler vein and put them in a tub of fresh water and let them bleed. They die quickly (less than five minutes) and pump blood into the water and replace their blood with water. The filet meat comes out firm and white. Can't tell the meat from the smaller ones except for the size of the filets. "Dr.D" wrote in message ... yes Bob in Utah and in la California.
