Which lisence ?
My local rivers the Mersey, Goyt, Dane and others are rammed with
brown and the occasional rainbow trout that i'm looking forward to tempting with fly over the next few weeks....however....I have an E.A license that allows me to fish for non migratory trout and course fish yet my rivers also contain a small number of Sea Trout and has even been known to give up the occasional Salmon. Which license do i need and if i stick with my current lisence can a pedantic E.A Bailiff in full jobsworth mode take any legal action arguing that i'm fishing for Sea Trout, Salmon or course fish? |

Which license do i need The migratory licence also covers the rest so if you're planning to try for a few seatrout then that's the one... and if i stick with my current lisence can a pedantic E.A Bailiff in full jobsworth mode take any legal action arguing that i'm fishing for Sea Trout, Salmon or course fish? ....but as long as you have a current (shiny new next week) licence for the majority of the fish in the water then you're OK as long as you return any migratory fish taken by accident. One way to operate is to fish for brownies, keep your eyes open, then on the day you spot a run get a one day migratory licence and return that evening.
