Help w source for flies

I need to buy 50-100 wooly buggers or streamers in various colors and in 2-3
or 4 of different sizes
Can anyone suggest a good rwelatively less expensive source for quality
flies?

Thanks
Fred

A couple of roffians are in the fly selling business and both
sell good flies at a fair price. Harry Mason is at

http://www.troutflies.com/

and our own Uncle Wally at

http://www.ezflyfish.com/

I'd imagine for 100 flies they might give you a quantity discount,
just don't tell them you heard about them from me or they might
charge you double. ;-)

Usual disclaimer: no interest except as satisfied customer.

If you have the time, there are few flies easier to tie than wooly buggers.
I'd suggest you as the relatively inexpensive source. It's almost *the*
beginner fly tyer fly. If you need an excuse to start tying, you could just
about save the price of a decent vise tying them yourself.

Rarely, if ever, do I disagree with Joe but I do in this instance.
Tying your own flies has many things to recommend it, but saving
money is not one of them. Even with wooly buggers by the time all
is tallied you're gonna get off cheaper buying rather than tying.
And if you pay yourself minimum wage you're gonna be *way* deep
in the hole. ;-)

I know that it is the beginner's fiy and I have tied a few in my times-
-but I cannot f*-in see to tie a size 12 or 14 fly anymore
and I am not too happy about that.
I also, a long time ago decided, that w my leisure time - I would rather
play abnd study music than tie flies - my choice
But as I get older - I have no choice now but to buy'em

Thanks
Fred

My mind just multiplied a guess of $2.50 per fly times a hundred, and $250
seemed a more than adequate capital expenditure for materials & tools for a
hundred wooly buggers. Yeah, I agree there's no saving money tying a dozen
flies for personal use, but in production quantities, it seemed reasonable.
Needless to say, I valued labor at zero in that calculation. After all,
tying is fun. :-)

You have several reasons for not tying, but for those who are only bothered
by eyesight, I use one of these. There are many cheaper and more expensive
versions, they work fine.

Just a thought, but if you can find some kid who has an interest in
learning to tie, buy the materials, show them how and then as payment
for the flies you want, either give them your vise and materials (if you
no longer wish to tie at all) or supply them a good basic setup, like an
"A" and the basic tools. If it'll work for you, it'll work out for all
concerned.
