Reading Tom's TR got my mind tuned to caddis, and from there to a pattern I
like a lot. The next step in the stream of semi-consciousness was to
realize that I don't remember seeing it in fly shop bins out side the great
state of California or very near it in Reno.

Now, I tie 100% of my own fishing flies so I don't browse these bins that
much. But I do check them while shopping to get ideas for my own
production.

ANYway, maybe this is a popular pattern everywhere, but I'll mention it and
give it the coveted Official Larry L Stamp of Approval ...

Fox's Poopah

A cool looking, easy to tie, effective caddis pattern

See Harry Mason's http://troutflies.com/tutorials/

I've been tying that pattern for many years, sans legs and antenna.

Opie tied a mess o' those for the GFS2007. I thought it was a nice
looking fly when I saw it there.
