Can I use PTFE tippet for dry flies? Or is it exclusively for nymphing and
wet flies? How do I get it to float? Gink/Aquapel? Thanks Group |

I don't use it for dry flies but I don't want my entire tippet to float high and dry. Ideally your tippet right next to the eye of a small dry fly should be just under the surface film. -- Ken Fortenberry |

Thanks Group While I use it mostly for nymphs, I have switched to dries and used it successfully. I put a floatant on it up to about4 or 5 inches from the dry fly. It is stiffer than mono and some folks say they have trouble turning it over because of this. I have not experienced any difficulties using it with dries. Dave |
