That attitude of 'make it yourself' has been so completely displaced in the modern world with the assertion that its only of value if its new, mass-produced and expensive. I think that particular attitude that the advertisers have trained the masses with is doing more harm to our planets ecosystem than anything else. Bring back the DIY world, where a bandsaw made of scrap plywood and pipe fittings was a thing to brag about and show your neighbor, not something to be scoffed at. --riverman |
