Suffix Braid opinions

Hi folks,

I was given a spool of Suffix 30# braid in green. I am a die hard SuperBraid
user and have been displeased with fireline and PowerPRO so you could
understand my skepticism.

My frog rod was in dire need of a respooling so I used the newly acquired
Suffix. It made a very good first impression. It was limp and spooled up
nicely. It was a pleasure to tie. It is highly visible and floats unlike the
superbraid which tends to sink after a while. I tried deadsticking and the
line stayed on top the whole time.
I lost a hook to a toothy critter but anything shy of a wire leader will
give to them. I can't hold that against it. It cast very smooth on long
casts with the frog and doesn't cut into the spool like fireline which was
very impressive.

All in all, I think I like it. I have a new spool of superbraid on my wacky
rig and will replace it with the Suffix when it needs changing.

Thanks,
Dave Vito

I've been using the Suffix for awhile and I like it on my spinning reels.
but on my baitcasters I use 30# Stren Super Briad and It's perfect for me.

I like everything about the Sufix (There's only one F in it, BTW) except
that it's the noisiest braid I've ever used.

A) Fireline is not a Braid. I specified the noisiest braid. Still...

B) Yes, it's noisier than Fireline. Noiser when both are new, but even
moreso, because it stays noisy as long as you use it, while with
Fireline, once the 'newness' wears off, it gets kinda soft and fuzzy,
and is very quiet. Until then, it's not broken in.
