Nothing stings like a hook in the hand.
I think we have all had that experience, and salt water or (fresh) dosent make it any better.

I usually put it all the way through cut the barb off smooth it out and

speaking of hurting like a dummy i was tying leaders for carp fishing
with 40 lb leader line and #4 wide bend hooks i had alreay tied 10 sets using plires to make sure the knot was good and tight .but on the last one i syuck the leader in my teeth and yes you got it the leader slipped the hook stuck right into my lip hurt like hell |
