Middle Fork Salmon River

I recently took a drift boat trip down the Middle Fork of the Salmon
River (departed from near Stanley, Idaho) with Tightlines Fishing &
Rafting/Jeff Helfrich Outfitters. The scenery, white water,
accomodations, guides, etc were fabulous; the dry fly fishing was even
better. Daily numbers of fish brought to the boat averaged 30-40, All
the fish were healthy, wild "west slope cut-throat". I would recommend
Tightlines/Jeff Helfrich to anyone looking for a quality drift boat
fishing trip in Idaho or in Oregon. Last year we fished the Rogue
River with Tightlines and the trip was just a good as this year on the
MFS.

in view of the fact that he made no response at all to this post,
someone ought to check rw's cabin for signs of life.

I missed the post. Haven't been paying much attention to
ROFF/Wolfgang_crap lately -- too busy renovating my cabin in Stanley. I
haven't even had a chance to fish, except for the Alaska trip.

I drove Helfrich's rig once, shuttling it back to Stanley from Boundary
Creek, after floating Marsh Creek last year. He's a well-regarded
outfitter. Don't know him personally, but the CD collection in his rig
was more than adequate.

From responding to individual messages and authors that he doesn't read, to
responding to entire newsgroups that he never looks at! Not, THAT is what I
call progress! :)
