What is a good bait for Channel cats in southern CA lake
 
What kind of bait can i use for stocked cats 3lbs or so,in a med sized
lake,Dixon lake to be sure!! southern California.

This is a common question, answered many times here. Cotto salami
works good, as does sliced baloney. Cats seem to like it better if you
take a bite out of it and don't hook it through more than once.
leave the paper wrap around the circumfrance so the hook doesn't
pull out. the human bite shape is the same and they think their
buddies or family has already had a taste and so they want one
too. Use barbless hooks ONLY as they see the barb and won;t hit.
they will follow it to the boat if slowly trolled because it has a
nice swimming action and then you can get them with the net.
