madison river, just a question
Hello
I've fished in Madison River between West Yellowstone and Madison some weeks ago and I keep a wonderfull remenbrance. Did I was lucky ? Do you think it is one of the best rivers for trouts in west ? On the Madison, trouts didn't looked my half/dry fly (in duck) but they have been interested by a pheasant tail. I've also tried the Gibbon River, the Snake River and Cottonwoodcreek in the south of Teton Park but the weather was very bad (cold, wind, hail ) and I 've catch only small fishes. thanks for answer -- Alain (enlever le x) Mon village en Haute-Soule (loisirs, fleurs...) : http://perso.club-internet.fr/jarailet Carnet de voyages : http://perso.club-internet.fr/jarailet/Randobal |

The Gibbon looks to be just my size, as far as trout rivers go (I like them small). g.c. |

Alain, I enjoyed your web page, (although I don't read french) ....it
seemes like you had a nice, rounded trip. You missed a national park between death Valley and Yosemite, though, Manzanar National Park, just north of Lone Pine CA. Manzanar was one of ten sites in America where Japanese Americans were interned after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. You can visit the website at http://nps.gov/manz Besides that, the madison is a beautiful river, but does not give up her fish to a dry fly easily. I don't think it is the best river in the west, I have not yet discovered the "best " river..... David "Alain LETRANGE" wrote in message ...
