Ah, just the thing to cleanse the palate, black pudding ice cream. I stand by my theory that the reason that Brits are such great explorers is that they're looking for a good restaurant. Frank Reid |

I stand by my theory that the reason that Brits are such great explorers is that they're looking for a good restaurant. Frank Reid It mentioned the "bacon and egg" "down south," which is a reference to The Fat Duck and it's chef, Heston Blumenthal (voted the best restaurant and chef in the world 2007 in a _very_ competitive list, by Restaurant Magazine, and has been tickling the top spot for 4-5 years). He does lots of seemingly weird things that are actually based on "molecular cooking" and scientific combinations - the ultimate "chocolate and vanilla," if you will. My guess is given that reference, it's either a, um, "tongue and cheek" recipe, or, it happens to also turn out to have some of the same "molecular combination" characteristics. My guess is also that you'll see more of this type of thing at _restaurants_ near you...well, maybe not near _you_, but certainly in areas allegedly civilised. TC, R |

Well, if you ask them folks out in New York City, they're amazed that we have indoor plumbing here. Hopefully, our country hick status will keep them damn epicures out of the state. If all else fails, we do have deer and New York Yankee season out here. Just remember to buy your tags as the Wally World. Frank Reid |
