A record?

I just came in from fishing, and as I type this, I can see George across
the lake bass fishing. George and I have become good friends since I
moved into the cabin here on this private lake. He has been fishing the
lake for over 20 years, he fishes at least 5 days a week...about 3 hours
in the morning, a couple hours mid day, and at least 3 hours in the
evening! He told me he fishes the lake about 7 months out of the
year...minimum. He always catches fish!!!!

I have personally watched him catch as many as 60 bass in a day, and he
has told me has caught as many as 150 in one day...George is a straight
shooter, and I believe what he says!

Now I figured if he averaged just 10 bass a day (very conservative in my
opinion), this is what I came up with:

5 days a week for 36 weeks a year, equals 180 days a year, times 20
years, equals 3,600 days, times 10 bass a day, equals 36,000 bass,
(again, I think it is a conservative number).

Now I know he fished other lakes before "finding" this one (George is 72
years old), so there must be a lot more bass to add to the above
estimate.

I just wonder what the record for the total number of bass a single
person has caught in his lifetime would be?

I think George would be close...or at least in the top 10 ! :)

P.S. George shares a lot of information with me, but I know he keeps
some "secrets"....so I watch him with my binoculars pretty close! grin
