Rogue rods says:

The FISHING guides that use Rogue Rods tell us that they are catching
more FISH because of our rods. The rods do what they were designed to
do. The guides helped us design the rods so why wouldn't they do a
better job. Our advice to guides is to work hard, use our rods, catch
more FISH, have happier clients, more bookings, and receive larger tips
so you can buy more rods.

From research (I dont really have a chance to test them, wish I could
cast some) I am leaning towards
rogue fly rod rf 29010
route 37 nooksack
orvis t3 T3 909-4

Well, let's break this down:

The FISHING guides that use Rogue Rods tell us that they are catching
more FISH because of our rods.

If the guides want to continue to get free or low cost rods from Rogue that's
what they better say.

The rods do what they were designed to
do.

Yup. They cast a fly line. Even the cheapest POS you can buy at KMart wil "do
what it was designed to do,"

The guides helped us design the rods so why wouldn't they do a
better job.

Conversely, why would they? Is every "guide" an expert in rod design.

Our advice to guides is to work hard, use our rods, catch
more FISH, have happier clients, more bookings, and receive larger tips
so you can buy more rods.

If I sold Rogue rods that would me my advice as well.

Lie? Maybe
A whole lot of spin? Absolutely

It depends... Are your rods meant for trolling?

Why would you think I am trolling? I am looking for a steelhead/salmon
pole to fish the feather river. It is really rude of you to say I am
trolling.

PS a friend of mine owns a fly shop and he did a trade for a 9 weight
TFO which I am going to use as a spare, and for christmas I am going to
try to get Santa to get me a adg titanium rod that is supposed as good
as a orvis s3 (or better) at cost for $335. Is a 7/8 weight too small
for pacific salmon or do I need a 9 weight?

As I've been telling people for years as a former guide and also a ski
instructor,

It ain't the wand, it's the magician.......

Hi Steve,

First, I would not pay a lot for any rod that is from a no-name maker,
sorry. We get this all the time. People buy these rods and then can't get
them fixed.

I can't carry any rods from little rod makers because when they break and
the guy has moved to Costa Rica, I end up warrantieing it because I sold it
to them.

PS: where can I get one of those Rogue Rods so I can out fish my friends?
Does it have a PC in it or what?

This is better than the funny papers............

Have you heard of adg fly rods? Apparenetly a higher up engineer from
orvis works for them and they now produce a rod better than the orvis s3.
