Near freezing here, but hoping for a warm rain Monday to attempt a winter
carp fishing adventure. I know where they are but need warm fingers to do
it.

Yeah, they stack up below a wall dam to spawn.
http://home.comcast.net/~thuxton/gonefishin02.htm
All that spawn causes the flatheads to move in to feed.
http://home.comcast.net/~thuxton/flatheads.htm
Flatheads are released above the dam where they will probably never see
another hookbait.

I like to fish meat for flatheads for an hour before dawn, then fish
veggie-bait for carp for an hour or two.

It is not unusual to take 8-10 carp in two hours using a single rod. The
trick is to get finished before the tree-huggers (from student housing,
nearby) come 'round kicking my catch back in the river. Any civilized
state makes it illegal to release carp.

So many carp, so little time.

It is not abnormal to yield 8-10 bother in two hours application a individual rod. The trick is to get accomplished afore the tree-huggers (from apprentice housing, nearby) appear 'round blame my bolt aback in the river. Any civilized state makes it actionable to absolution carp.
