Cabelas pulling a fast one (buyer beware)

I thought this was a good deal until I asked Customer Service.

The price is for ONE Fat Ika, in it's own package.

$39.80 for a regular 10 pack sounds like a great deal!
I'll tale 5 packs please....holy crap!

I say "fast one" because $3.98 is close enough to the 10 pack price and
therefore leads you think that it is a great deal; and far enough away
from the typical price for a single Fat Ika (70 cents) for you to think
that no way is that a price for just one.

I was just informed the site says "per 5".

I didn't see that part, I then contacted "live help" on their site, got
a customer service person who checked and told me that price was for one
individually packaged Ika.

as you were

Ikas do not excite me. They get bites for me, but they tend to block hook

Bob,

I use the 5/0 Owner TWISTLOCK™ 3X w/ CENTERING PIN
http://www.ownerhooks.com/pages/prod.../basshooks.htm

He

I goop mine up with "Hot sauce" crawdad scent.
The trick for me is to let the bass have this bait and not "pop" set the
hook like a plastic worm. I set the hook more with a strong sweeping motion.

I know what you mean however. The hooksets are not as "for sure" as with
other baits.
I like the 4" bait because it tends to get me bigger fish.

Here is another rigging for the 3":

Now here is an excellent way to rig the "standard" Ika:

Hope this helps

That is a lot like the Frog Hooks by Stanley, Sizmic, and Zoom. Basically
the same concept as the Hitch Hiker used on the Daiichi Copperhead hooks. I
think I like the centering pin idea. Its takes a little knack to get it
just right on the others.
