Hans van der Stroom http://chemprof.tripod.com/catalpa.html doesn´t look very accurate though. "Hans van der Stroom" wrote i Just curious: Is there someone out there having the pattern for the "catalpa-worm"? perhaps this is the pattern most suited for those anglers trapped in that thread? Weight the forward 1/3 of the hook with lead wire Mold green Power Bait to the head area, over the lead, in a shape reminiscent of a beadhead, tie in thick yarn ( the proper sort was probably used as 'ribbon' on at least one x-mas gift under your tree ) at the bend and just behind the 'bead' of Power Bait leaving a fairly long tail to wiggle in the currents carry more Power Bait in your vest to replenish the fly as it wears out |

Hans van der Stroom Just like you Scandinavian (I'm guessin' here) types to destroy an otherwise civil and decent discussion concerning the virtues of correct spellin'. No doubt you had nothing better to do than to stir the pot, while painting your squaw's toenails? BSEG Good to here from a ROFFian with a fine sense of humor. I was thinkin' about ya just yesterday, as I was placing my collection of Fly Swap flies into my new Fishpond chest and backpack--a year-end gift to myself, as that jolly fat ******* never thinks to give me anything! I didn't realized how many of your flies I had acquired, but I must have at least 5--all of which are works of art, I must say! Happy New Years ot you and your sir! And keep stirrin' the pot, PLEASE. I wanted to get involved with this swap, but with classes beginnin' again on the 18th of Jan., I know I won't have time to tie a decent entry--decent by my standards and abilities, that is :~^ ( Op --now we need to find out if Herman Nijland is still alive and well?-- |
