Five Rivers Metro Parks (our local caretakers) have been fighting an uphill
battle for some time...but they've finally got the bucks to begin some
wetlands restoration and also remove some lowhead dams (those roller
dam/drowning machines) to restore the flow of the river...

The river flows right by my house and will greatly effect (improve) my local
fishing waters......

It sure is refreshing after coming home from a place where nets dredge
rivers bare of life and dynamiting of reefs is not uncommon...

....that would be a smallmouth bass river within walking distance.....real
good for a quick fix after supper. It has a nice population of rock bass
that will just get you laughing out loud when the are on the nest!
